Margao: Union Gymkhana Belgaum brushed off the challenge from Vinod Dhamaskar Cricket Academy by 43 runs to storm into the final of the 1st Exposure Trophy under-13 All-India invitational cricket tournament organised by Margao Cricket Youth Club here at the KRC ground.
Union Gymkhana won the toss and elected to bat. The Belgaum outfit posted 125/ 6 in their allotted 20 overs (Muhammad Abbas 31, Farhan Shaikh 25, Pranav 31; Pratham Gaunkar, Om Keny, Karan Gonsalves took 1 wicket each)
In reply, Vinod Dhamaskar Cricket Academy Margao, could only manage 82/8. Farhan Shaikh (2/2) was the top bowler for Union Gymkhana.
Meanwhile the match between RCC North Goa and Just Cricket Bangalore, had to be rescheduled to Wednesday because of overnight rains rendering the pitch wet.
The Final is slated for May 25th between winners of RCC North Goa/Just Cricket Bangalore; and Union Gymkhana.
