Margao: Shaurya Chodankar delivered a man-of-the match performance to inspire RCC North Goa to a four-wicket victory over Just Cricket Bangalore, with the winners advancing to the finale of the 1st Exposure Trophy All India under-13 tournament organised by Margao Cricket Youth Club at KRC ground here.
Facing the fancied Just Cricket-Bangalore for a place in the title clash, RCC North won the toss and elected to field. Shaurya Chodankar was the pick of the bowlers with impressive figures of 3/17 to his name. Daksh (2/16) and Swarit Gawde were the other wicket-takers. And in the process, Just Cricket Bangalore were restricted to a modest 116 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs.
RCC North Goa did not have much of a challenge reaching 117/6 in 18.3. overs. Adeep Miskin (21), Pranjal Singh (18), Shaurya Chodankar (18), Digant Manohar (16 not out) made valuable contributions to help their team move into the final. Rithin Hari (2 /17) and Lokesh Yadav (2 /20) were the wicket-takers for Just Cricket.
RCC North Goa will take on Union Gymkhana Belgaum in the final on Thursday morning at 8.30 am. GCA President Vipul Phadke and GCA Secretary Rohan Gauns Dessai will grace the occasion as guests, stated a press release.
