MARGAO: Ultracon Madgaon Royals came back to winning ways defeating DNS / VMJ’s Rookies by 5 wickets and 13 balls to spare on the 10th day of the 7th edition of Rajdeep Builders Sarsangan Super Series Cricket 2024-25 at MCC Ground. In the second match, Priority Titans humbled SinQ Rangers by 30 runs. Commonwealth Fountainheads then walloped 108 Delite Titans by 41 runs in a high-scoring match under floodlights at MCC ground.
Match 1: Ultracon Madgaon Royals vs DNS – VMJ’s Rookies
Put in to bat, the Rookies could only manage 113-8 in their allotted 20 overs with Pratham Kossambe making 28 and aided by Rajaram Sinai Kundaikar’s 26 not out and Eeshan Kamat’s 20, the 3 batters to reach double figures. Adv. Gaurish Agni, Shaunit Sawardekar and Sandesh Kamat Bambolkar picked 2 wickets each while Megh Netravalkar took a wicket as well.
In reply, Madgaon Royals were in trouble at 41-4 but Kartik Hattangadi played a responsible innings to take the Royals home making 36. Royals reached the target making 114-5 with 13 balls to spare. Sanat Kamat took 2-11 while Balkrishna Hodarkar, Ved Mahambre and Vibhav Pai took a wicket each.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Kartik Hattangadi got Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match award, Pratham Kossambe collected Priority Constructions Best Batter award and Adv. Gaurish Agni picked Wakao Best Bowler award.
Match 2: Priority Titans vs SinQ Rangers
Put in to bat, Priority Titans put up an imposing 191-6 in 20 overs with Adv. Sahish Mahambrey blasting 39 (22 balls, 3 x 4s, 2 x6s) and in the company of Rauji Kakodkar 35 (16 balls, 5 x 4s, 1 x 6s), Granthik Buyao (21) and Amith Kamat (20) helping the Priority Titans to a massive total. Neelay Naik Dalal with 2-20 was the pick of the bowlers with assistance from Amogh Namshiker, Gaurav Gaitonde, Samprabh Phaldesai and Mohit Kamat who picked a wicket each
In reply, the SinQ Rangers, after a shaky start consolidated through Ashwin Kuncolienkar who struck a quick 34 (24 balls, 2 x 4s, 2 x6s) and Smit Dalvi 33 (21 balls, 2 x 4s, 1 x 6s). Neelay Naik Dalal’s 26, Gaurav Gaitonde’s 13 and Sachin Kenkre’s 11 helped SinQ Rangers to 161-6 in 20 overs, falling short of the target by 30 runs. Animesh Prabhugaonkar 2-11 was assisted by Sudin Kamat, Sunil Salgaonkar and Granthik Buyao by a wicket each.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Animesh Prabhugaonkar collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match, Adv. Sahish Mahambrey received Priority Constructions Best Batter and Neelay Naik Dalal was awarded Wakao Best Bowler.
Match 3: Commonwealth Fountainheads vs 108 Delite Titans
Put in to bat under flood lights, Commonwealth Fountainheads put up the highest total of the Super Series making 202-5 in 20 overs. Yash Prabhugaonkar blasting 37 in 10 balls with 4 x 4s and 3 x 6s at a strike rate of 370 in just 12 minutes at the crease was the highlight of the innings. Aamod Talaulikar’s 35 and Laxmikant Kurade’s 31 not out helped to boost the Fountainheads past the 200 run mark. Abhijit Bhandare, Krishnakant Hegde Desai, Nikhil Virginkar and Ashay Ambe picked 1 wicket each.
In reply, 108 Delite Titans Abhijit Bhandare 35 (17 balls, 6 x 4s) and Sudhir Kenkre 37 (23 balls, 3 x4s, 1 x 6s) led the onslaught but with only 2 more batters Nikhil Virginkar (18) and Vidheya Kossambe (26) reaching double figures, the 108 Delite Titans fell short by 41 runs to finish at 161. Amod Borkar with 3-21 was a standout performance while Saish Hegde, Ameya Prabhudesai, Aditya Prabhugaonkar and Yash Prabhugaonkar took a wicket apiece.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Amod Borkar collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match, Aamod Talaulikar received Priority Constructions Best Batter and Ameya Prabhudesai was awarded Wakao Best Bowler at the hands of the Secretary of MCC, Apurva Bhembre.
