Geno Dragons crushed Desserts N’More Avengers by 198 runs in the 5th ‘Test’ to come back strongly and reduce the margin to trail by 2-3 in the 6-match Desserts N’More Sarsangan Junior Cricket ‘Test’ Series at Arlem Cricket Ground.
Electing to bat first, Geno Dragons put on 282-7 with Atchut Naik Dalal top scoring with 83. Saish Hegde with 52 not out, Hrishi Wagle with 50 and Sahil Neurenkar with 22 aided in the total. Kush Pai Raikar and Rajat Dalal picked 2 wickets apiece while Shwetang Kamat Ghanekar picked a wicket.
In reply, Desserts n More Avengers were bowled out for 154 in their 1st innings with Kush Pai Raikar making 30 and was helped by Rajat Dalal’s 29. Avinash Sakhardande picked 2-29 while Om Keny, Shriyans Prabhu Alvencar, Shlok Borkar Atchut Naik Dalal and Pranav Shenvi picked a wicket each.
Leading by 128 runs, Geno Dragons put on 143-1 in the 2nd essay with Saish Hegde making 36, Vismay Falgaonkar 36 and Atchut Naik Dalal 39 to set a target of 272 to the DnM Avengers. Aahesh Prabhugaonkar picked a consolation wicket.
Desserts n More Avengers could only make 73-4 with Kush Pai Raikar 16 and Kunal Kuncolienkar 13 reaching double figures, giving the Geno Dragons a massive win by 198 runs. Atchut Naik Dalal with 2-14 was the standout bowler and was assisted by a wicket apiece from Shlok Borkar and Sahil Neurenkar.
Atchut Naik Dalal was Man-of-the Match, Saish Hegde was Best Batter and Kush Pai Raikar Best Bowler. Siddesh Pai Raikar, Krishnaprasad Kamat and Shantaram Prabhu Alvencar were the guests for the prize distribution ceremony.
