FATORDA: Mark Cricket Academy beat hosts Sparkling Stars Association by 31 runs, AIM Cricket Academy registered a 53-run win against HK Bounce Cricket Academy, and PTVA Sports Academy edged past Anand Cricket Academy by 13 runs at the Late Radhabai Vasant Kamat Rolling Trophy U14 Tournament in South Goa. The matches were played at Agonda, Sanguem and Chicalim respectively.
Mark CA’s Riyaz Sandhi (65 runs & 3/21) was the player of the match with his all-round display. While Sparkling Stars fell short of the target of 190 managing to reach 158, there were some signs of batting potential in Rehan Hubli (39) and Rutvik Laad (28). Earlier, Aarav Naidu took 3/30 and Parth Sankpal 2/24 as Sparkling Stars bowled out Mark CA for 189 runs in 44.5 overs.
Meanwhile at GCA ground, Sanguem, AIM Cricket Academy posted 191/7 in 45 overs and then restricted HK Bounce CA to 138 in reply. Mayank Rawool (3/24) was named player of the match. Earlier, Sumedh Parab (48), Samarth Sakpal (38) and Sahil Metri (36) batted well for AIM CA. Dhruv Kondare with 58 runs to his name, top-scored for HK Bounce CA.
Over at Chicalim ground, Vasco, PTVA Sports Academy were all out for 179 in 44 overs (Eshan Kale 61, Aryan Desai 23; Pavandeep Bharadhakane 4/33). Anand Cricket Academy put up a spirited fight before being restricted to 166/9 in the alloted 45 overs (Skandy Shetty 67, Sachit Shetty 34, Pavandeep 34; Yash Sagvekar 3/36). Yash Sagvekar (19 & 3/36) was adjudged player of the match.
