Porvorim: An all-round performance by Tarannum Pathan helped Manas Panjim Gymkhana script a comfortable 8-wicket victory over Salgaocar Cricket Club in the 2nd Goa Women’s Premier League at Goa Cricket Association academy ground, here today.
Tarannum picked up 2/11 as Manas PG stifled Salgaocar CC progress, thereby playing a part in restricting them to 84/6 in the allotted 20 overs. Ibtisam Shaikh (30) was the top scorer for Salgaocar. Krupa Patel scored 21 runs.
In reply, Manas Panjim Gymkhana rode on the contribution from Tarannum (32 not out), captain Vinavi Gurav (22) and Asmee Palav (19) to race to 85/2 in 12.1 overs.
Dezi D’Souza presented the Player-of-the Match award to Tarannum.
