Panaji: Sports Authority of Goa’s cricket coaching centre in Panaji, has over 50 regular trainees under the guidance of former Ranji Trophy fast bowler Narayan Kambli.
The majority of the boys in the age group of under-14 years, are honing their skills with steady focus, which is then tested at the tournaments. Recently, Narayan Kambli’s boys pulled off a stunning victory against Vasco RCC in a close encounter, to delight the coach in particular.
Kambli is now looking forward to watching his boys in action at the upcoming tournament in Margao next month. So, how is he preparing them for the competition?
“Basically, I work on making their fundamentals strong. Once the youngsters have good focus on the basics, they can perform well in a match,” Kambli told www.thegoancricketer.com.
