Dharbandora: Panjim Gymkhana Cricket Academy boys clinched the PIOC U16 Juniors Champions League Season-4 title at Dharbandora Panchayat Ground on Wednesday. They beat PIOC in the final by 24 runs.
Opting to bat first, PGCA scored 113/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Vishesh Behl was the top-scorer with 56 runs off 44 balls (4×7, 6×1) to his name. Vardaan Behl contributed 18 runs with 4 boundaries coming off his bat. Akash Ghuge (3/22) was the pick of the bowlers for PIOC.
In reply, PIOC managed 89/9 with Raj Bhosle (32) being the top-scorer. Akash scored 15 runs. Ahaan Dayal was the chief wicket-taker for PGCA with figures of 4/08.
PGCA head coach Sandeep Signapurkar expressed satisfaction on the title-victory.
