Margao: MY Cricket Academy beat Oxford by 5 wickets to clinch the Under-14 Exposure Trophy tournament, at KRC ground, Margao. Chasing 104 in the title clash, MY Cricket Academy were through in 18.4 overs with 5 wickets in hand.
Jonas Perera remained unbeaten on 33 (52 balls; 4×1) as the opener guided his team home with Sahil Gaonkar being the other important run-getter with 24 runs (43 balls, 4×1) coming through the fellow opener’s bat.
Earlier, Oxford were restricted to 103/6 in the alloted 20 overs after being sent into bat. Rehan Hubli was the top-scorer with 43 runs (49 balls; 4×4, 6×1).
Social Worker, Prabhav Naik presented the trophy to the winners in the presence of Bhai Naik, VP of MCA, and coach Hemant Angle.
