Margao: SAG’s RCC (South Goa) scored a crushing 132-run win against Sanjay Naik Cricket Academy (SNCA), Moula, at the All-India U-13 Exposure Cricket Tournament organised by Margao Cricket Youth Club at Konkan Railway ground, here on Saturday.
Put into bat, RCC South Goa posted a strong challenge with a total of 173/5 in the allotted 20 overs (Rehan Huballi 25, Keyaan Thota 29, Yuvraj Dabolkar 43; Yash Chari 2/27). In reply, SNCA were shot out for 41 runs in 15.1 overs (Raunak Naik 10; Swapnik Naik 3/10, Ayush Sahakari 2/1, Anurag Bahadur and Arnav Naik 1 wicket each). Man of the match: Yuvraj Dabholkar (RCC).
Earlier, SAG’s RCC North Goa took on AIM Cricket Academy, Sawantwadi. Electing to bat first, RCC North Goa could only manage to score 86 runs before they were all out in 18.3 overs (Adeep Miskin 12, Shaurya Chodankar 33; Piyush Sawant 3/12, Manas Tankar 3/18, Vijay Kudtarkar 2/7).
AIM C.A. were reduced to 40/4 in 8.4 overs and the match was abandoned as AIM Cricket Academy left the match half-way, stated a press release by the organisers. “AIM CA is thrown out of the tournament and debarred from playing any further matches. Points scored by/against AIM CA would not be considered at the league stage,” added the press note.
