Margao: Sports Authority of Goa RCC (North Goa) and RCC South Goa, both registered thumping victory respectively over MCC Cricket Academy and Vinod Dhamaskar Cricket Academy (VDCA), on the opening day of All-India invitational U-13 exposure tournament organised by Margao Cricket Youth Club at Konkan Railway Ground here on Friday.
In the first match of the day, MCC Cricket Academy won the toss and elected to bowl first. RCC North Goa gave a good account of themselves and posted a challenging total of 159/4 in 20 overs (Pranjal 61, Shaurya Chodankar 30; Ritesh Iliger 1/9, Faizan Shaikh 1/22). In reply, MCC Cricket Academy were bowled out for 89 in 17.1 overs (Umang Naik 30; Daksh 3/17, Aryan Bhosle 2/16, Saish Virnodkar 2/3) as RCC North Goa recorded an easy 70-run victory. Pranjal was named Man of the Match.
In the second match, RCC South Goa won the toss and elected to bat first. They posted a decent total of 133/3 in 20 overs (Rehan Huballi 30, Ruthvik Lad 25, Yuvraj Dabolkar 25; Pratham Prabhugaonkar 1/23, Anjun Nemikal 1/11). VDCA were disappointing in their reply and folded up meekly for just 28 runs in 12.5 overs (Anurag Bahadur 3/0, Anay Lakhani 2/17, Arnav Naik 2/1). Anurag Bahadur (RCC South Goa) was named Man of the Match.
