ARLEM: Desserts N’More Avengers took an unbeatable 3-1 lead in the 6-match Desserts n More Sarsangan Junior Cricket Test Series by defeating Geno Dragons in the 4th Test registering a 8 wicket win at Arlem Cricket Ground.
Put into bat first, Geno Dragons put on 210-7 with contributions from Om Keny 27, Vismay Falgaonkar 50, Nityay Kuncolienkar 34, Sanat Prabhudesai 50 and Sahil Neurenkar 12. For the DnM Avengers, Ayan Borkar picked 2-13 and received support from Ved Mahambre 2-40, Kush Pai Raikar 1-23 and Pramay Prabhu 1-39.
In reply, Desserts n More Avengers put on 266-6 taking a crucial 56 run 1st innings lead over the Dragons, thanks to useful contributions from Pramay Prabhu 50 not out, Ved Mahambre 77 not out, Shardul Kenkre 35, Aditya Dalal 52 and Kaushal Churi 17. Shriyans Prabhu Alvenkar 1-4, Shlok Borkar 1-16, Anurag Borker 1-32 and Sahil Neurenkar 1-36 picked the wickets for the Geno Dragons.
Geno Dragons made 160-3 in the 2nd essay with Vismay Falgaonkar making 40 not out, Atchut Naik Dalal 36, Sanat Prabhudesai 17 and Nityay Kuncolienkar 44 not out. Needing 104 to win, Desserts n More Avengers reached the target with 8 wickets to spare making 105-2 with Ved Mahambre making 35, Rajat Dalal 18, Aditya Dalal 25 and Kush Pai Raikar 13 not out. Nityay Kuncolienkar picked a consolation wicket. Ved Mahambre was Man-of-the Match, Vismay Falgaonkar was Best Batter and Pramay Prabhu was Best Bowler. Shraddha Kamat, Waman Prabhu and Gaurav Borkar were the guests for the prize distribution ceremony in the evening.
The last match of the series will be played on 31 December 2024 at Arlem Ground. Pallavi Sagar Salgaocar, Founder and Director of “Dainty Delights” – brand “Desserts N More” will be the chief guest for the prize distribution function.
