ARLEM: Antruz Aviators and Ultracon Madgaon Royals register wins in their respective matches on the 8th day of Sarsangan Priority Veterans Cricket Series 2025 at Arlem Cricket Ground.
Match 1: Antruz Aviators vs Delite Titans
Electing to bat first, Antruz Aviators posted a challenging 194-4 in 20 overs with contributions coming from the blades of Sudin Kamat (36), Sarvesh Kamat (35), Sachin Kenkre (35), Sandeep Phaldesai (23), Mahendra Pai Kuchelkar (16) and Prasad Bhende (28). None of the Delite Titans bowlers could claim a wicket.
In reply, Delite Titans started disastrously to be 3-2 but recovered through their skipper Shiraj Pai Khot (36) and Sachin Neurekar (13) to reach 38 in 6 overs. But the next 4 batters were dismissed stumped by the wicket keeper Mahendra Pai Kuchelkar, all going for big shots, including the dangerous Siddhesh Bodke on the very 1st ball.
Only Paresh Prabhudesai (30) and Vishnu Namshikar (16) reached double figures, as Delite Titans folded up for 140, giving Antruz Aviators a 34 run victory, with a wicket each being taken by Sarvesh Kamat, Jaiprakash Kunde, Santosh Kuncolienkar, Prashant Amonkar, Rasik Pai Khot, Sudin Kamat and Gomakant Mahambrey.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Mahendra Pai Kuchelkar collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match, Shiraj Pai Khot received Priority Constructions Best Batter and Sudin Kamat was awarded Wakao Best Bowler.
Match 2: Mapusa Dream Crushers vs Ultracon Madgaon Royals
Electing to bat first, Mapusa Dream Crushers posted 157-8 in 20 overs thanks to Mahesh Kudchadkar (17), Amith Kamat (16), Balkrishna Hodarkar (35), Vibhav Pai (15), Avinash Kossambe (29) and Laxmikant Kurade (13). Yatin Kaisare was the pick of the bowlers with 2-20 while a wicket each was picked by Pratap Prabhugaonkar, Deep Bhende, Mahesh Churi, Samrudh Hegde Desai and Dr. Sarvesh Kamat.
In reply, Ultracon Madgaon Royals reached the required target making 159-6 in 19.3 overs winning by 4 wickets and 3 balls to spare, runs coming from Deep Bhende (15), Rajendra Prabhudesai (30), Yatin Kaisare (29), Rakesh Mallya (20), Dr. Sarvesh Kamat (33 no) and Samrudh Hegde Desai (16). The most successful bowler was Dr. Sagar Salgaocar with 2-16 while Balkrishna Hodarkar and Laxmikant Kurade took a wicket each.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Yatin Kaisare collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match award, Balkrishna Hodarkar was adjudged Priority Constructions Best Batter while Dr. Sagar Salgaocar picked Wakao Best Bowler award.

Ultracon Madgaon Royals with 12 points have made it to the finals while the tussle is between Antruz Aviators (10) and Mapusa Dream Crushers (9) for a place in the finals. The last round of league matches will be played on 27 April with Royals taking on Dream Crushers while Aviators will play Titans. The top 2 teams will face off in the Sarsangan Priority Veterans Cricket Finals on 4th May 2025, with Delite Titans awaiting their opponent for the 3rd place playoff..
