Goa trail Sikkim by 18 runs with 10 wickets in hand at the end of first day’s play in their Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at SICA ground, Rangpo.
Electing to bat first, Sikkim were all out for 108 runs in 46.5 overs. Wickets were shared by Goa bowlers with Heramb Parab (3/42) leading the charge. Arjun Tendulkar, captain Darshan Misal and Mohit Redkar took two wickets each. Shubham Tari picked up one wicket.
In reply, Goa openers Suyash Prabhudessai (50 not out) and Rohan Kadam (36 not out) ensured that they held strong to keep the Sikkim attack at bay in the 25 overs bowled before stumps were drawn.
Suyash has struck six boundaries and one sixer in his 83-ball stay at the crease so far. Rohan has faced 67 deliveries so far with five of them sent to the fence.
