Panaji: Goa’s Mohit Redkar has been selected for High Performance Camp for Emerging Players 2023 to be conducted at NCA-Bangalore from August 17 to September 5.
The young off-spinner from Margao made an impressive debut in Ranji Trophy in the 2022-23 season, bagging 19 wickets in 7 matches. Mohit notched up two fifers, one each against Rajasthan and Kerala. The 22-year-old also showed his potential with the bat as he scored 238 runs in 7 matches at an average of 26.44.
Mohit, who becomes the first player from Goa to be part of the emerging cricketers camp, also sparkled in U-25 one-dayers. He took four wickets against Punjab in the quarter-final.
