PANAJI: Manas Panjim Gymkhana raised a huge first innings total of 533 runs against Priority Constructions MCC on the second day of their Goa Premier League match at Panjim Gymkhana ground here on Friday. MCC were 170/4 when stumps were drawn for the day. Subhranshu Senapati, who was unbeaten overnight on 105 runs, added 71 runs to his score before he was dismissed by Vikas Singh, who worked hard for a return of 4/132 off 24.1 overs. Senapati’s knock comprised 18 boundaries and 5 sixes.
Priority Constructions MCC got off to a solid start with Abhinav Tej Rana (50) and Ishaan Gadekar (51) as the opening partnership produced 93 runs. Shivam Sharma (2/44) accounted for both the openers. Himanshu Nehra took the other two wickets to fall in the MCC innings. Eknath Kerkar and Piyush Yadav, both on 15 runs each, will begin the innings on the third and final day tomorrow.
In the other matches, Chowgule Sports Club (335/8) lead Desserts N’More Geno SC (214) by 121 runs at GCA ground, Sanguem; Salgaocar Cricket Club (163 & 112/6) are in trouble, trailing to Dempo CC (309) by 34 runs with just 4 wickets in hand at GCA ground Porvorim.
