Porvorim: Pulkit Narang delivered a fantastic allround performance as Manas Panjim Gymkhana beat Chowgule SC by 102 runs and booked their spot in the final of GCA’s Goa Premier League 2024-25.
Chowgule required 158 runs on the third and final day today at GCA ground Porvorim with seven wickets in hand. However, they were dismissed for 99 runs with Pulkit Narang being the wrecker-in-chief once again with superb figures of 7/19, making it a whopping 14 wickets for the match.
Pulkit, who had also contributed 43 and 21 runs with the bat in the low-scoring encounter, was named Player of the match.
With 19 points from 4 matches, Manas Panjim Gymkhana stormed into the final where the second placed team will join them. That will be decided after the last round of League matches beginning 26th March where Manas PG take on 3rd-placed Dempo CC (10 points) at Porvorim. Second-placed Chowgule SC (15 points) will clash with Priority Constructions MCC (9 points) at MCC Ground. The bottom two – Desserts N’More Geno SC (8 points) play Salgaocar Cricket Club (7 points) at Panjim Gymkhana ground.
