Panaji: Ashvi SC & Taleigao Tigers knocked out Mayem Union and United XI Betim respectively, at Betim United Trophy 2023 here on Wednesday.
Ashvi SC Khandola chased down Mayem Union total of 117/8, in just 8.4 overs with eight wickets in hand.
Man-of-the match Sarvesh Solapurkar played a sensational knock of 27-ball 75 runs with seven boundaries and as many sixers in his inning to power Ashvi SC to a dominant victory. Earlier, Ashvi SC bowlers Rohan Bogati picked up three wickets while Tango Naik and Sugam Gaonkar took two wickets each.
In the other match, Taleigao Tigers galloped to a five wickets win over United XI Betim, who had put up a fighting total of 136/8 with Sarvesh Veluskar (66 runs off 46 balls; 9×4, 2×6) being their highest run-getter. Taleigao Tigers’ Gauresh Khandeparkar picked up two wickets.
The Tigers reached 139/5 in 14.1 overs with man-of-the match Manish Kakode smashing an unbeaten 53 runs off 27 balls (3×4, 3×6). Rohit Patekar contributed a blistering 30 runs off 10 balls (6×4, 1×6). Sarvesh Veluskar and Rafig Khazi took two wickets each.
