ARLEM: Ultracon Madgaon Royals and Mapusa Dream Crushers registerd a win in their respective matches on the 5th day of 7th Sarsangan Priority Veterans Cricket Series 2025, at Arlem Cricket Ground.
Match 1: Delite Titans vs Ultracon Madgaon Royals
Put in to bat first, Ultracon Madgaon Royals started on a promising note through Pratap Prabhugaonkar (29) and Sandeep Dalal (35) putting up 44 runs in 4 overs. The total got further boost through Yatin Kaisare (21), Rakesh Mallya (32 not out), Anish Dharwadkar (12) as they added 81 runs in 11 overs to reach 125-5 in the 16th over. Some lusty hitting at the end from Dr. Sarvesh Kamat (22) and DySP Rajendra Prabhudesai (18 not out) helped the Royals to post a formidable total of 188-6 in 20 overs. Vishnu Namshikar with 2-26 was the pick of the bowlers while Paresh Prabhudesai, Sachin Neurekar, Siddesh Desai and Shiraj Pai Khot picked a wicket apiece.
In reply, Delite Titans got off to a disastrous start losing their top 3 batters with the score reading 17 in the 5th over. Vishnu Namshikar (21), skipper Shiraj Pai Khot (37) and Siddesh Desai (35) did the repair work to take the Titans to 124-4 in the 16th over, at par corresponding with the Royals score. However, none other than Siddesh Bodke (21) could make any further impact falling for single digits as the Titans folded up for 158, losing by 30 runs. Yatin Kaisare, Mahesh Churi and Deep Bhende picked 2 wickets apiece.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Yatin Kaisare collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match, Shiraj Pai Khot received Priority Constructions Best Batter and Mahesh Churi was awarded Wakao Best Bowler.

Match 2: Antruz Aviators vs Mapusa Dream Crushers
Electing to bat first, Mapusa Dream Crushers put up 190-5 thanks to Mahesh Kudchadkar (26), Vibhav Pai (24), Dr. Sagar Salgaocar (38), Amith Kamat (18), Avinash Kossambe (37) and Laxmikant Kurade (21 not out). Rasik Pai Khot was the most successful bowler with 2 wickets while Sudin Kamat, Jaiprakash Kunde and Prasad Bhende picked a wicket each. In reply, Sudin Kamat (30), Sarvesh Kamat (38), Sachin Kenkre (36) kept the Antruz Aviators in the hunt with some splendid batting.
However the match also saw a middle order collapse with 4 of the batters getting dismissed on single digits. At 144-5 in 17.2 overs, it was left to Rasik Pai Khot (22) and Raju Shenai Salgaonkar (16) to achieve the target with the Aviators needing 46 in 16 balls. However, they fell short by 12 runs, as the Aviators finished at 178-6 in 20 overs. Rupesh Kossambe with 2-22 was the pick of the bowlers while Vibhav Pai, Sanjiv Sukhtankar and Avinash Kossambe picked a wicket apiece.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Avinash Kossambe collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match award, Dr. Sagar Salgaocar was adjudged Priority Constructions Best Batter while Rupesh Kossambe picked Wakao Best Bowler award.

Saraswat Sports Sangh has opened the registration for the 8th edition of Sarsangan Veterans Cricket Series to be played from October to December 2025.
