Goa’s Under-19 women’s team suffered a 114-run defeat against Mumbai in the Inter-State Under-19 SiechemTrophy after their batting line-up failed to withstand a disciplined Mumbai bowling attack. Chasing a challenging target of 181, Goa were bowled out for just 66 in 15.2 overs.
Goa struggled from the outset in the run chase, losing wickets at regular intervals. Opener Rakshanda Kalangutkar was dismissed for nine, while Nikhila Naik contributed 18. Muskaan Sab provided some resistance, scoring 20 off 33 balls, but Goa could not build any substantial partnership.
Mumbai’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings. Purti Naik was the standout performer, claiming three wickets for just 11 runs. Megan Rodrigues picked up two wickets, while Tanisha Sharma and Shravani Patil took one each as Mumbai wrapped up Goa’s innings for 66.
Earlier, Mumbai had posted a formidable 180 for two in 20 overs. Tanisha Sharma top-scored with 76 off 48 balls, hitting 11 fours and two sixes, while Ira Jadhav scored 61 off 45 balls. Dhruvi Trivedi remained unbeaten on 33.
Goa will look to improve their batting performance in their next outing, particularly in building partnerships and handling pressure during the middle overs.

Earlier, Himachal Pradesh beat Goa by 44 runs. Batting first, Himachal Pradesh posted 138 for seven in 20 overs, with Anahita Singh top-scoring with 59 runs and Dhanya Lakshmi Sharma contributing 37. Goa’s Athashree Shivarkar impressed with the ball, claiming two wickets for 18 runs, while Pooja Kalel also picked up two wickets.
In reply, Goa was bowled out for 94 in 20 overs. Athashree Shivarkar was Goa’s top scorer with 31, while Rakshanda Kalangutkar made 15. For Himachal Pradesh, Mannat Kaur took two wickets for 16 runs and Anahita Singh claimed two for nine.
