Mapusa: St Anthony High School, Duler, outclassed St Theresa HS, Candolim, by 99 runs in under-17 girls cricket tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs, at Peddem Sports Complex.
St Anthony High School won the toss and batted first, and they did that very well as the Mapusa-based school posted a big total of 170/4 in 15 overs. Jiya Murgod was the top run-getter as she scored 88 runs to put her team on the path to succeed. Saloni Shinde (32), captain Varsha Pednekar (23) and Sonali Tuyekar(14) contributed handy runs. In reply, St Theresa HS were shot out for 71 runs.
