MARGAO: Sports & Welfare Club Zaino registered a 43-run victory over Eagle Sports Club at the 3rd Chandrakant Karapurkar Trophy T20 tournament at SAG ground, Fatorda on Sunday.
Sapnish Satarkar’s knock of 41 runs off 30 balls, which included 7 boundaries and a sixer, helped Zaino post a fighting total of 137/9. Sankalp Prabhu (28) and Akash Parab (21) contributed valuable runs. Eagle’s Saahil Naik took 3 wickets while Naveen Usapkar and Sagar Parsekar claimed 2 wickets apiece.
Eagle’s top-order struggled with hat-trick hero Vishal Gaude (4/23) castling the batters. Shivam Kanekar (28) was the only batsman to offer some resistance to the Zaino bowlers before Eagle SC were bowled out for 94 in 16.3 overs.
