Panaji: Sports Authority of Goa’s Regional Coaching Centre for Cricket, at Panaji under coach Narayan Kambli achieved encouraging results in the 2022-23 season. As a reward for their efforts and further motivation for the youngsters, Sports Minister Govind Gaude congratulated the coach and the players, recently.
The Panjim RCC teams won the U-13 Invitational Cricket Tournament at Colvale, Arjun Sports Club’s U-12 event in Belgaum and All-Goa U-12 Tournament at Bicholim.
Amongst their runners-up finishes were -SAG RCC U-12 Tournament, Union Gymkhana U-11 Tournament in Belgaum, SAG Inter-RCC U-13 Tournament at Mapusa, Suresh Gadkari U-11 Tournament in Belgaum, Anand Trophy U-13 Tournament in Belgaum, Exposure U-13 tournament at Margao.
Sports Minister Gaude discussed the tremendous scope of sports and career potential with the Panjim RCC boys, who were all excited to meet the minister. SAG Cricket Coach Narayan Kambli, the former Ranji Trophy star, highlighted the significance of the engagement.
“The boys were delighted. It was a huge boost for their confidence. It was a very motivational moment and will inspire us to do even better in the coming season,” Kambli told www.thegoancricketer.com.
