Goa registered a one-sided 92-run victory over Manipur in the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy at Nagpur on Monday.
Having been put into bat, Goa accumulated a total of 143/5 with all-rounder Shikha Pandey scoring an unbeaten 56 runs. The India pacer’s knock of 31 balls comprised eight boundaries and a sixer.
Handy contributions by Shrey (19), Vinavi Gurav (18 not out), Tarannum Pathan (17), Sunanda (15) and Purvaja Verlekar (10) helped to set a challenging total for the minnows Manipur.
As expected, Manipur found it very hard to make a contest out of it and could only manage 51/6 in the allotted 20 overs. Priyanka Koushal bagged three wickets giving away just one run in her four overs. Sunanda took two wickets while Shikha claimed one scalp.
