ARLEM: Antruz Aviators sealed final berth with a win against Delite Titans, while Mapusa Dream Crushers’ hopes were dashed despite victory of Ultracon Madgaon Royals on the 9th day of Sarsangan Priority Veterans Cricket Series 2025 at Arlem Cricket Ground.
Match 1: Mapusa Dream Crushers vs Ultracon Madgaon Royals
Put in to bat first, Ultracon Madgaon Royals put on 174-6 in 20 overs with Narcinva Shanbhag (20), Anish Dharwadkar (37), Vishwesh Kamat (24) and Ashesh Dukle (22 not out) being the key contributors with the bat. Laxmikant Kurade, Bhushan Pai Vernekar, Shailesh Mahajan and Mahesh Kudchadkar picked a wicket each.
In reply, Mapusa Dream Crushers chased down the target making 176-2 in 17.5 overs thanks to Nilesh Prabhudesai (29), Vibhav Pai (35), Avinash Kossambe (36), Laxmikant Kurade (35) and Amith Kamat (21 no). None of the Royals bowlers could pick a wicket.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Vibhav Pai collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match, Anish Dharwadkar received Priority Constructions Best Batter and Bhushan Pai Vernekar was awarded Wakao Best Bowler.
Match 2: Antruz Aviators vs Delite Titans
Electing to bat first, Delite Titans lost 3 wickets before Sanjay Netravalkar (35) and Vishnu Namshikar (24) steadied their innings to take them to 103-4. Two wickets each by Balkrishna Kamat and Gomakant Mahambrey saw the Titans end up at 141-8 with only Sandip Thali (19) and Amogh Namshiker (20 no) offering some resistance. Balkrishna Kamat with 2-11 and Gomakant Mahambrey with 2-18 received support from Sudin Kamat, Sarvesh Kamat, Rasik Pai Khot and Jaiprakash Kunde who picked a wicket each.
In reply, needing a win to enter the finals, Antruz Aviators started on a promising note through Sudin Kamat (35) and Sarvesh Kamat (19) and were aided later by Prasad Bhende (37) to be 123-3, needing 19 in 22 balls. Siddesh Bodke brought the Titans back into the match picking a hattrick dismissing Mahendra Pai Kuchelkar, Jayesh Timblo and Santosh Kuncolienkar, leaving the Aviators to get 19 in 19 balls. Rasik Pai Khot (17 not out) and Raju Shenai Salgaonkar (5 not out) completed the formalities helping the Aviators to reach the target making 142-6 with 3 balls to spare. Siddhesh Bodke with 4-12 was the pick of the bowlers while Siddesh Desai and Sandip Audi picked a wicket each.
The following individual prizes were awarded: Sudin Kamat collected Drogaria Colvalcar Man-of-the Match award, Prasad Bhende was adjudged Priority Constructions Best Batter while Siddhesh Bodke picked Wakao Best Bowler award.

Having topped the points table with 12 points and a higher NRR, Antruz Aviators entered the Sarsangan Priority Veterans Cricket Finals to be played on 4th May 2025 against Ultracon Madgaon Royals who also finished with 12 points. Mapusa Dream Crushers (11 points) will face Delite Titans in the 3rd place playoff match.
