POWER PANTHERS PORVORIM BAG JUNIOR CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP

Power Panthers Porvorim defeated Dhadsakhal Stars by 7 wickets to win the Oxford-organised Junior Cricket Championship. In the final match held under floodlights at the 1919 Cricket Stadium in Verna on Saturday, Dhadsakhal Stars posted 191 for 9 in 25 overs. In reply, Power Panthers Porvorim chased down the target comfortably, scoring 192 for 3 in 22 overs to lift the trophy.

The prize distribution ceremony was conducted at the hands of the chief guests, Adv. Iftikhar Agha, Darshan Misal, Anup Vernekar, and Vinvi Gurav. Chief organiser Romeen (Bunty) Mulam and members of the JCC organising committee were also present on the occasion.

Individual Awards:
Man of the Match (Third-Place): Harsh Nain, Fighter of the Match: Parth Sankpal, Man of the Final: Sahil Metri (100 runs off 71 balls), Fighter of the Final: Pranjal Singh (72 runs off 50 balls), Emerging Player of the Tournament: Rumaan Mulam (124 runs and 4 wickets)
Promising Player of the Tournament: Rehan Hubali (174 runs, Ghumteshwar), Best Batter: Sahil Metri (192 runs, Power Panthers Porvorim)
Best Bowler: Shaurya Chodankar (6 wickets, Dhadsakhal), Best Fielder: Farhaan Shaikh (Oxford, 8 dismissals), Player of the Tournament: Adeep Misquin (Dhadsakhal – 202 runs, 2 wickets, and 4 catches)
