Porvorim: Khorlim XI stormed into the final of Goa Cricket Association’s A Division North zone tournament with a dominant 10-wicket victory over Sunny Sports Club at GCA academy ground here on Monday.
Electing to bat, Sunny Sports Club were all out for a paltry 114 runs in 26.3 overs. Prasad Kale with 31 runs and Gurudas Gaonkar contributing 24 runs, were the only two batters to get into double digits. Extras provided 27 runs to the Sunny Sports Club total.
Khorlim XI’s Hitesh Walunj (4/21) and Bhushan Talawadekar (4/14) were the main wicket-takers. Manas Raikar took two wickets.
In reply, the opening pair of Ninad Pawaskar (61 runs off 45 balls; 8×4, 2×6) and Sarthak Bhike (47 runs off 39 balls; 5×4, 1×6) took Khorlim XI to the victory target of 115 runs in 13.5 overs.
