D.M’S College Assagao and Shree Damodar College Margao entered the semi-finals of Inter-College Women’s Cricket Championship 2022-23 organised by Goa University.
In the quarters, D.M’S College beat P.G. Goa University by 7 wickets while Shree Damodar College got the better of St. Xavier’s College, Mapusa, by 7 wickets.
D.M.’S College won the toss and chose to bowl. Putting in a decent performance with the bat, P.G Goa University posted 138/9 in 17.1 overs (Samixa Sawant-34(39), Diksha Amonkar-20(16); Meetali Gawander-1/15, Urvashi Govekar-2/30).
In reply, D.M.’S, College cruised to victory reaching 139/3 in 15.4 overs (Meetali Gawander- 48(39), Urvashi Govekar-26(28); Diksha Amonkar-2/21, Prachi Morje-1/13).
In the last quarter-final, Shree Damodar College won the toss and elected to field. They restricted St. Xavier’s College to 111/6 in 20 overs (Mrunmayee Bhike -43(50)* not out, Roshini Ben-27(33)* not out; Uma Pandit-2/26, Shivani Naik-1/13).
In reply, Shree Damodar College romped home 112/3 in 16 overs (Maishree Bandodkar-13(23), Shivani Naik-13(30); Diksha Chawdhari-1/17, Prachita Verlekar-1/26).
Both the semi-finals will be played on 13/04/2023, as follows:
