Goa topped the 28th Sub-Junior National Tennis Ball Cricket Championship for boys, held at Dondaicha-Dhule in Maharashtra.
Goa, which has emerged as a powerhouse of tennis ball cricket at the national level due to their impressive record, scored a comprehensive 22-run victory over Haryana in the final.
Goa, who won the toss and elected to bat, scored 71/7 runs in 8 overs. Saiesh Naik top-scored with 23 runs while Saroj Thakur contributed 20 runs. Viraj Tari scored 13 runs.
In reply, Haryana scored 49 for 7 in the alloted 8 overs. Goa bowled tightly with Tushar Naik claiming 4 wickets for 8 runs in an impressive show. Saiesh Kerkar (1/6) and Saroj Thakur (1/11) were also good with the ball.
Saiesh Naik was adjudged the Best Player of the Final. Tushar Naik was declared Champion of Championship.
