Goa registered an innings and 169 runs victory over Mizoram in their Ranji Trophy Plate Group match at Narendra Modi Stadium Ground B, Motera, Ahmedabad on Friday.
Mizoram, who were all out for 204 in the first innings and conceded a lead of 351, were bundled out for 182 runs in the second innings after the follow-on was enforced.
Goa gained 7 points including a bonus point, from this victory; to sit atop the table with 26 points from four victories in as many matches. As such, Goa has also confirmed their promotion to the Elite group.
Snehal Kauthankar, who scored 250 runs in Goa’s huge total of 555/9, was named player of the match.
Goa skipper Darshan Misal, who claimed 6/71 in the first innings, took 2/33 in the second innings. Mohit Redkar took 5/43 in the second innings.
Goa will host Arunachal Pradesh in their last league match from 13th November at Goa Cricket Association Academy ground, Porvorim.
