Fatorda: St Joseph Institute beat Bhatikar HS by 66 runs in the South District final of Goa Cricket Association’s under-14 boys President Cup.
Electing to bat, St Joseph Institute rode on a fine unbeaten century by Sarvambh Naik (108 runs off 101 balls) to post a huge total of 250/5 in 45 overs. Sarthak Toraskar scored 26 runs while Carl Dourado contributed 23 runs.
Bhatikar’s Pratham Prabhugaonkar, Ansh Harmalkar, Yudhan Sambari and Ayan Borkar took one wicket each.
In reply, Bhatikar HS were all out for 184 runs in 40 overs. Ansh Harmalkar scored 53 runs off 69 balls while Vinit Kamat contributed 52 runs off 66 balls.
St Joseph Institute’s Sarvambh Naik sparkled with the ball as well as he picked up three wickets alongside Pranav Pednekar. Sarthak Toraskar took two wickets while Mangesh Tirodkar had one wicket to show for his efforts.
