Panaji: Dr. KB Hedgewar HS Cujira beat Mushtifund HS Cujira by seven wickets in the final of DSYA’s mini secondary school U-17 boys Tiswadi taluka-level cricket tournament at Campal ground here on Wednesday.
KB Hedgewar HS won the toss and elected to field first. A decent batting display enabled Mushtifund HS to post a challenging total of 149/ 5 in 20 overs. Jai Narvekar was the top-scorer with 57 runs off 58 balls. Saish Salelkar scored 22 while Eheet Argekar made 18 runs.
KB Hedgewar HS bowlers Mounak Dhuri took two wickets while Darsh Surve picked up one wicket.
In reply, Mounak Dhuri showed his batting talent with a quickfire 52 runs off 30 balls, while Anvay Chati scored run-a-ball 40 runs and KB Hedgewar reached 152/3 in 18.2 overs.
Mushtifund HS bowlers Eheet and Saish claimed one wicket apiece.
