Panaji: Pernem Cultural & Sports Club and Rudreshwar Yuvak Sangh on Saturday, booked their quarter-final spot in the Bandodkar Knock-out T20 Tournament organised by Panjim Gymkhana.
Vishwajeet Phadte hammered an unbeaten 89 as Pernem CSC posted a massive total of 198/2. Aniket Desai contributed 59 runs. In reply, Goa Sports Academy were all out for 58 in 14.2 overs with Anush Kerkar picking up an impressive fifer (5/17). Vipul Deshprabhu took three wickets while Nikesh Panjikar picked up two wickets as Pernem registered a resounding 140-run victory.
In the other match, Vinay Palekar (28 runs & 5/14) produced an all-round performance to inspire Rudreshwar to a 36-run victory over National Cricket Club in a low-scoring encounter.
