Panaji: Panvel Sports Club cruised to a 162-run victory over Super Sports Club in Goa Cricket Association’s B Division (Tiswadi zone) at Panjim Gymkhana ground here on Tuesday.
Electing to bat first, Panvel Sports Club put up a strong batting performance with Satyendra Singh making the top score of 70 runs off 51 balls, which included six boundaries and three sixers. Prajyot Rivonker scored 64 runs off 53 balls, which comprised five boundaries and three sixes. Along with Aadarsh Bothara (49 off 41 balls; 7×4), Prajyot put on a stand of 86 runs for the third wicket. Captain and opener Sachin Sardessai contributed 32 runs off 39 balls (4×4). Super Sports Club’s Shubham Mane claimed two wickets giving away 71 runs.
Super SC failed to challenge with the bat and their top score came from the bat of Ashish Surlakar, who remained unbeaten on 31 off 32 balls. Shubham Mane and Mayuresh Tandel scored 28 runs apiece. Narendra Sale contributed 18 runs.
Panvel Sports Club’s Prajyot Rivonker and Saurabh Dodake took three wickets each while Aadarsh Bothara picked up two wickets.
