Porvorim: Khorlim XI crushed Madel Yuvak Sangh by 183 runs in Goa Cricket Association’s A Division (North Zone) at GCA ground, Porvorim, on Tuesday.
Put into bat, Khorlim XI rode on half-centuries by Rushabh Rathod (79 off 63 balls; 5×4, 5×6), Mayank Rawat (67 off 63 balls; 5×4, 2×6) and quickfire contribution by Deepak Dangi (44 off 22 balls; 2×4, 4×6) to post a mammoth total of 304/8 in the allotted 40 overs. Madel’s Prathamesh Kuncolicor, Prasad Patil and Ronak Harpale took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Madel Yuvak Sangh were bowled out for 121 runs in 25.1 overs with Jai Ahuja (5/36) being the pick of the Khorlim XI bowling attack. Mayank Rawat (2/12), Faizan Sayyed (2/18) and Deepak Dangi (1/28) were also among wickets.
Madel Yuvak Sangh’s scorecard made a sorry picture as only two batters got into double digits with opener Siddhesh Pandit making the top-score of 31 runs (46 balls; 4×4). No 4 batter Pratik Pokharnikar scored run-a-ball 29 runs, which included five boundaries.
