Porvorim: Goa Cricket Association (GCA) congratulated promising cricketer Venkata Chigurupati on his selection to the India U-19 squad (Multi-Days) for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.
Venkata’s inclusion in the national squad is a proud moment for Goa cricket and a testament to his hard work, dedication and consistent performances at various levels. His achievement reflects the growing strength of cricket development in the state and serves as an inspiration to young cricketers across Goa.
Former Ranji Trophy player and GCA President Mahesh Dessai also lauded the youngster’s achievement. He said, “Venkata’s selection to the India U-19 squad is a well-deserved reward for the hard work he has put in over the years. It is encouraging to see a Goan cricketer progressing to the national level. This achievement will motivate many aspiring cricketers in the state to dream big and work towards representing India. The India U-19 team will play a series comprising three One-Day matches and two Multi-Day matches during the tour of Sri Lanka.
