Marcel: Goa blind cricket team’s long-awaited dream-come-true moment finally came when they overcame the challenge of a strong Maharashtra side in the final of inter-state triangular cricket tournament for visually impaired organised by Blind Cricket Association Goa at Karo ground, Marcel.
Maharashtra posted a challenging total of 156/9 in the alloted 20 overs. Goa reached the winning target with Jignesh (72) and Hitesh (24) being the key batters in the chase. Chander had earlier sparkled with the ball, taking 3 wickets to keep Maharashtra batters under control.

Madhya Pradesh were the third team in the fray. They went down to Goa and Maharashtra in the group stage.
A visually-impaired cricket team comprises players of different degrees of blindness. From the 11 that makes up a team; 4 are totally Blind (B1 category), three are partially Blind (B2) and 4 are partially sighted (B3).
