7th Sarsangan Cricket Super Series to commence on Sunday; 10 teams, 180 players enriches Goa’s premium Saraswat cricket brand

Margao: Saraswat Sports Sangh Charitable Trust will organise the 7th edition of Goa Sarsangan Cricket Tournament starting on Sunday (3rd November 2024) at the Arlem Cricket Ground, South Goa. 

The 7-month long tournament will be played on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays; with ‘night’ matches at MCC Cricket Ground and other matches at Arlem Cricket ground.

The tournament features 10 teams in Super Series, consisting of 180 Saraswat cricket players picked at the auctions. Each of the teams play each other  in round-robin league format T20 Cricket matches in A2 white leather and Vallion Sports specially designed apparels by Desserts N’ More with the top four teams playing the knock-out matches in March 2025 after a gruelling round of league matches.  

A total of 10 teams namely: Mapusa Dream Crushers of Rajesh Colvalcar, 108 Delite Titans of Vinayak Nayak & Ashay Ambe, Desserts N’ More Avengers of Dr. Sagar Salgaocar, Priority Titans of Dinesh Pai & Swapneel Prabhu Nachinolkar,  Vimson Panjim Powerplay of Harshvardhan Sinai Bhatkuly, MLT Cricket Club of Rahul Dhond & Siddesh Sinai Amonkar, Ultracon Madgaon Royals of Ashesh Pai Dukle  & Damodar Pai Patnekar; being joined by 3 new teams – SinQ Rangers of Sahil Adwalpalkar & Sanket Singbal, DNS /VMJ’s Rookies of Vinod Joshi & Dattaprasad Silimkhan and Commonwealth Fountainheads of Chirag Datta Naik & Vishvesh Caro.

Porvorim-based businessman and Secretary of Century Cricket Club, Rajesh Amonkar will be the Chief Guest at the inaugural ceremony while businessmen Sandeep Thali and Shiraj Pai Khot will be the Guests of Honour tomorrow. Each match will also feature trophies to be presented as Drogaria Colvalcar Man of the Match award, Priority Constructions Best Batter award and Wakao Best Bowler award.

The Organising Committee has appealed to the Saraswat community in Goa to support the talented players who will be fighting it out in a total of 68 matches in the Sarsangan cricket series to be held from 3rd November 2024 to 25th May 2025.
